Community Center
Above is a map of the Vehe Farm. The centennial
barn has undergone a major restoration and renovation. The outbuildings are planned for future restoration and renovation. The barn facilities are available for community meetings and cultural
events. Educational and historic displays are also contained in the barn.
A wood chip nature trail already encircles the site and
may be used for cross country skiing in the winter. The
athletic field, pond and wetlands area have been
constructed on the eastern portion of the grounds. A tot lot is planned for the future.
A Farmer's Memorial is located in the original barnyard
and includes a windmill. Next to the farm house, which serves as the
Village of Deer Park office,
is the Betty McLaughlin Butterfly Garden. The planned interior paths
will connect the buildings, garden areas and wetlands |
Facility Reservations
Use of all the Community Center facilities and grounds is coordinated through the Village of Deer Park office which is located in the farm house. Please contact them directly with inquiries regarding reserving the facilities. |
